Bib Transfers:

After a purchase is made on bibdibz, we share email contact information between the seller and buyer right away so the bib transfer process can begin. If an official bib transfer is allowed via the race director (rd), seller will contact the rd and begin the process (all bib transfer fees to be paid by buyer). If an official bib transfer is not an option, the seller and buyer will need to workout a convenient and safe place to meet before race day to transfer the bib.

Our stance on unofficial bib transfers is this – we believe the policy of not allowing bib transfers is outdated and creates unnecessary dissatisfaction with the race registration process. Our hope is to eventually work with race directors to help facilitate the transfer process and make the notion of unofficial bib transfers obsolete.

Spartan Race Transfers:

Spartan Races offer one of the best and easiest ways to transfer a bib to another participant. We hope other race organizators take notice and emulate their policy in the future. The Spartan Race transfer process goes as below:

  • In your account on the Spartan Race website there is an option to defer or transfer your registration to a future event. Once selected, you are charged a flat deferment fee of $25.
  • When you choose to defer or transfer your registration to a future event, you will be given a flat credit based on the distance of the event. The credit is given in the form of a promotional code, and you can use that credit on any future race up to 90 days after original race date.
  • The credits are as follows: Sprint $69, Stadium $89, Super $89, Beast $139.
  • You will receive that promotional code in a confirmation email after completing the transfer/defer process on the Spartan Race site.
  • You are then able to list your bib (promotional code) on bibdibz. When listing on bibdibz, please list the expiration date (90 days after original race date) and the $25 deferment fee should be included in your listing price.
  • After a purchase is made on bibdibz, we share email contact information between the seller and buyer right away so the promotional code can be provided from seller to buyer.
  • The buyer can now use that promotional code during the registration process on the Spartan Race site. Once the promotional code is entered it will credit the appropriate amount. Any remaining fees (price difference, participant insurance, and processing charge) will be the new racer’s responsibility at that time.

bibdibz’s Future:

We are working on some exciting upgrades to our bib marketplace over the next few months. We hope as our community grows to enhance specifically the bib transfer process. We are working with some race directors to develop what we believe will revolutionize the secondary bib market and improve the race experience for our community.
